The interdisciplinary lecture "Image-based Systems Biology" provides, on the one hand, a basic introduction into modern techniques of microscopy and, on the other hand, an overview of methods of quantitative image analysis and application in the modeling of biological systems. The aim is to obtain a basic understanding of microscopy as well as the ability to analyze microscopic image data and to formulate mathematical models based on the quantitative data. A script will be provided in English for the lecture. In addition, the lecture will focus on current literature.
Bachelor and Master students can take part in the lecture.
Time and Place:
The lectures take place in person (as long as possible), starting on Monday October 16th, 2023 at 11 am at the Leibniz-HKI, Adolf-Reichwein-Str. 23, 07745 Jena.
