The aim of the course is to present and explore less familiar and in academia and culture generally less represented histories and trajectories of Yugoslav feminism and contextualize them inside and along global feminist history. Timeline: from feminism articulated in socialist Yugoslavia, but initiated by the pre-war Yugoslav feminists, to the "second wave" Yugoslav Neofeminsim of the 1970s and 1980s all the way to the late and pre-war theoretical, activist and artistic contributions of Yugoslav feminists. This view on the historical development of Yu feminisms will be taken from and set against post-Yugoslav present. Materials: historical and literary sources, significant artistic phenomena. |
