Reconciliation may be understood as the re-establishment of good or at least decent relationships between individuals, communities, societies after a violent rift. It involves the healing of relationships in the wake of suffered wrongdoings, perceived alienation and even trauma. In a transdisciplinary frame, the seminar will address how trust, an attitude of confident expectation in how the other (in this case: the former perpetrator) will act, is possible and a crucial element to heal damaged relationships in reconciliatory processes. |
