Englisch B2+ Vorbereitung auf IELTS Prüfung - Einzelansicht

Most universities in the UK, and many universities elsewhere, require a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or Cambridge Advanced English for international students. Students who are thinking of pursuing studies in the USA should consider TOEFL or check the requirements with their chosen university.

"IELTS"  is a one-semester preparation (2 SWS) course for a certificate which is valid for 2 years.

Students must register for the IELTS exam independently and online. The link for exam registration is above (British Council). The nearest exam centre is Leipzig.

Preparation courses for Cambridge Advanced and Cambridge Proficiency are also offered by the language centre, please check Friedolin for details.

There is no course book; handouts and useful links will be supplied via online platform.

There is no test and you will receive a Teilnahmeschein (certificate of participation) at the end of the course. There are no credit points and no grade.

If you need a course with a test and a grade, please choose a different course.

We will focus on exam technique, question types and practise activities.

Given the relatively high price of the (externally administered and graded) exam, it is in your interest to set aside 2-3 hours of time for self-study each week in addition to the course.

Students who are thinking of taking the IELTS exam, possibly in preparation for a study visit abroad or for a course that will be taught in English. This is NOT a general language course; it focuses on exam requirements and skills.
