Level B2+

This course gives participants the opportunity to engage with a variety of learning strategies that should enhance the experience of studying abroad. The approach is based on the results of a study carried out by the International Education Department of Birmingham University.

There is no course book; handouts will be supplied via online platform

Grades will be based on: individual student presentations; active participation; written work; evidence of vocabulary learning strategies.

Successful completion will give you 3 ECTS points. Check with your exam office (ASPA) to find out if these credit points can be counted as part of the "Allgemeine Schlüsselqualifikation" module.

Activities will include presentations, discussions, reflection on learning, reading, summarizing and vocabulary work.

This course is for students at intermediate and upper-intermediate level (min. 8 years of English in school).

You can work through the placement test there and bring the email confirmation of your result to the first lesson of your course. At least 180 points would be the best score for this course.

If you wish to register for more courses, you may choose any other course in the B2.2, B2+ or C1.1 range. You may not choose courses at A2, B1 or B2.1 level.
