As the name Aural-Oral implies, this course focuses on students' listening and speaking sills. The listening component is practiced by students completing weekly listening assignments that vary from instructor to instructor (see the information below). The students discuss the listening materials in class and work on their fluency. In addition, students practice the speaking component of the course by giving graded oral presentations, during which both fluency and accuracy play a significant role. The class also places a strong emphasis on vocabulary development.
