The law of Tort tells us when people may recover compensation for an infringement of their rights outside a contractual relationship. In English Law there is no single principle of tort but rather a series of different torts. Tort Law is essentially based on Common Law and this will be honoured by focusing on important judgments, most notably the famous case of Donoghue v Stevenson AC 562. Classes will depend on student participation (in English of course) which is why attendance is mandatory, also for native speakers from partner institutions. Students will need to have a basic grasp of the English language.
Please take note of the course date changes. The remaining sessions will be held via Zoom. Mr Otto will send you the respective Zoom data in due time.
