Korea and Europe are geographically remote. Therefore, it is natural that they show many differences, whereas it is interesting and meaningful to find some similarities between them. Korea has experienced a dynamic development in the realm of industrialization, democratization, and political culture. South Korea is a country of miracles. It succeeded in rapid economic growth and peaceful democratization and is now pursuing national unification. This course looks at Korea’s recent experiences and finds similar cases in European countries for comparative purposes. |
