In its first part, this lecture deals with key texts and characteristics of the genre of American nature writing from American Romanticism to the 20th century. The second part focuses on the literary theory of ecocriticism and on seminal aspects, tenets, and methods of literature in the Anthropocene.
The lecture will take place online entirely; a classroom is reserved, however, during the time of class for students who want to use it. There will be a mix of recorded power point presentations and Zoom meetings as indicated on the term schedule in the moodle classroom. There will be an online written exam at the end of the term. |
