Hello everyone.
The basis of this course will be the text book by Jamie Ward "The students guide to Social Neuroscience", 2nd Edition, on topics like "Evolutionary origins of social intelligence and culture", "Building blocks of social processes: Emotions, Motivation, Recognition of Others", "Empathy, Theory of Mind and Autism", "Social Interactions and Relationships", "Groups and Identity", "Antisocial Behaviour" and "Social Cognitive Development". All topics will be extented by current research works in the respective domains.
Regular attendance and work on a paper project guided by examples of the "InMindMagazine" https://www.in-mind.org/ or https://de.in-mind.org/ are essential for passing the course. Marked exams will be offered in a written format.
The course language will be English, unless we have only German native-speakers in the course.
I look forward to welcoming to the course.
