The interdisciplinary lecture "Image-based Systems Biology" provides, on the one hand, a basic introduction into modern techniques of microscopy and, on the other hand, an overview of methods of quantitative image analysis and application in the modeling of biological systems. The aim is to obtain a basic understanding of microscopy as well as the ability to analyze microscopic image data and to formulate mathematical models based on the quantitative data. A script will be provided in English for the lecture. In addition, the lecture will focus on current literature.
Bachelor and Master students can take part in the lecture.
Time and Place:
The first meeting will take place on October 14, 2019 at 11 am in the room "Alexander Fleming" at the ground floor of the HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection (A8), Beutenbergstrasse 11a, 07745 Jena. In this meeting, the future lecture times will be settled together with the present students.
Please register for participation by sending an email to Prof. Dr. Marc Thilo Figge (thilo.figge@hki-jena.de) before October 1, 2019.
