(A) Klausur (100%) oder (B) Klausur (ca. 50%) und bewertete Übungsleistung (ca. 50%). Die gewählte Prüfungsform wird zu Beginn der Veranstaltung bekanntgegeben. Im Fall (B) werden Form und genauer Anteil der Teilleistungen ebenfalls zu Beginn der Veranstaltung bekanntgegeben. Die Teilleistungen müssen einzeln bestanden werden. Im Wiederholungsfall können die Punkte aus der Übungsleistung angerechnet werden. |

Inhalte | The course teaches principles of accounting to measure income from an information content perspective. The course shows how concepts of income differ considering stakeholders need for information. It contains aspects of accounting conservatism and provides analytical tools to analyse conservatism. Moreover, the course deals with corporate governance issues like financial agency costs considering aspects of sustainability. It shows how to regulate accounting rules and auditors' behavior to internalize these costs. |
Lern- und Qualifikationsziele | Students know different concepts of income fit to different stakeholders' needs. Students are able to value accounting information. Moreover, they are able to value effects of increasing or decreasing information content. Students are able to characterize corporate governance by its interdependencies to aspects of finance and taxation. Students know the need for regulation to increase the audits' quality. |
