Englisch B2 - Study Skills - Einzelansicht

This course gives participants the opportunity to engage with a variety of learning strategies and study skills that should enhance their university experience.

There is no course book; handouts will be supplied via moodle.

Successful completion of this course will give you 3 ECTS points. If you wish to use these points as part of an ASQ module, please check with the Exams Office (ASPA)as to whether or not these points are acceptable.

You will complete the course successfully if you:

• Fulfil the prerequisites (above)
• Attend min. 80% of classes.
• Complete the Moodle assignments.
• Submit the required portfolio of work

Activities will include introduction and exercises to general study skills, e.g. time management, planning and structuring, setting personal goals.

We will also practice typical academic skills such as reading academic texts, summarizing and incorporating sources in your own papers.

Listening and speaking skills, discussions, and presentations of academic topics are also part of the seminar.

This course is designed for students at intermediate and upper-intermediate level (min. 6 years of English in school). You are also very welcome if you either wish to prepare for studying abroad or are enrolled in a study programme with lectures in English.
