M-Psy-KN202: "Informationsverarbeitung" for "Cognitive psychology and cognitive neurosciences" or

M-Psy-MV201: "Lern- und Entscheidungsprozesse" or

M-Psy-MV207 "Rechtspsychologie" for "Psychologie in Arbeit, Bildung und Gesellschaft".

Course presentations can be given in English or German. I'm happy to provide help with any difficulties.

If too many students apply, places will be given according to the guidelines suggested by the Fachschaftsrat.

However, everyone is invited to come to the first session and I'm fairly sure there will still be places available (this was the case in the past).

Regular and active participation and marked presentation (Referat).

At court, eyewitness testimony often plays an important role. Unfortunately, it is less reliable than often thought and can be critically affected by different factors. What are the challenges and problems when we have to remember faces or voices of perpetrators? Are there individual differences with respect to witness reliability? If yes, how can reliable witnesses be identified?

In this course, we will have a close look at these and similar questions of applied perceptional psychology in a forensic context.
