Short summary of the course:
Advanced EEG signal analysis methods
Eletroencephalography (EEG) is one of the most used measures for the study of human neural activity. This is mostly because of its high temporal resolution, which allows researchers to investigate the temporal dynamics of cognitive processes. EEG has important applications both in basic and clinical neuroscience. This course will provide you with a theoretical background and also includes practical training in essential aspects of EEG and Event Related Potentials (ERPs) processing and analysis. The course will combine class discussions and (if the pandemic situation allows) laboratory activities. During the course, students will perform advanced analyses of EEG data, including signal processing in the time and frequency domains. Also, the Multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) of EEG data will be introduced. Finally, practical applications of the contents covered during the course will be discussed. |
