The academic interest in memory studies is growing worldwide, including different historical events and experiences that can be remembered. Responding to historical experiences and academic trends in the region, the course is divided into three thematic groups:
1.(Post)Soviet Memory Studies (Vilnius University: Dr. Viktorija Rimaite-Berziuniene, Dr. Liucija Verveckiene, PhD student Valda Budreckaite) 2.Peace and Conflict Studies (University of Granada: Prof. Simón José Suárez Cuadros) 3.Justice in Memory & Identity Studies (University of Jena: Dr. Martin J. O’Malley, PhD researcher Günes Dasli) The program combines virtual and physical mobility. Study activities are organized in two parts: March 20th-24th – virtual week through Zoom; March 27th-31st – physical week in Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania). The course counts as 5 ECTS. Qualification for the ECTS requires participants to attend both parts of the course. Allocation of credits is in line with students’ home university’s rules and procedures. The course is open to Master’s and advanced Bachelor’s students. Students’ accommodation and lunch costs during the physical week are covered by Vilnius University. Consult with your home university’s International Office regarding the possibility to receive an additional ERASMUS+ grant for travel and other daily expenses. Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science in cooperation with University of Granada and University of Jena, in the framework of the CGMIPCS Network, are pleased to organize the first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in the field of the Peace and Conflict Studies.
