Lehrender: Dr. Kostiantyn Yanchenko
The seminar offers an introduction to contemporary public opinion research within the dynamic landscape of new information environments. It is designed to explore how various stakeholders understand, infer, and communicate public opinion, particularly emphasizing the influence of digital media on public opinion formation. Structured in two stages, the seminar melds theoretical insights with practical application. In the first stage, students engage with the interdisciplinary and international perspectives on public opinion research through presentations and group discussions of pertinent academic literature. The second stage involves students developing their own empirical projects, building on the knowledge acquired previously. Sessions focusing on the research's methodological and practical aspects are included to support this endeavor. The seminar will be of interest to a broad range of students, especially those willing to learn more about the political communication process and advance their media literacy skills. |
